Fall 2011 NEWSLETTER Each day women and their children arrive at Clare House leaving behind them a journey that was unexpected. The journey ahead seems daunting and their faces reveal every uncertainty. Along the journey with us are the moments I wish you could witness; the laughs and giggles from a child who receives a birthday gift box; the smiling faces of our ladies as they participate in African Dancing and Drumming Circles, the hope when a call back for a second interview is received. |

Spring 2011 NEWSLETTER When most of us think of Summer, we think of family vacations, beach days and backyard barbeques. But for Clare House residents summer continues to be a challenging time. While the cold winter months bring their share of perils, summertime is just as difficult with its own dangerous weather conditions, and challenges to life’s everyday struggles. At Clare House we know that our residents need our services year round. Homelessness and poverty does not take a vacation. |

Spring 2011 NEWSLETTER Spring greetings! This time, not from my offi ce chair, but from my rocker at home. No worries, I haven’t been in an accident or am injured; rather, I am gazing down at the face of my beloved new daughter, Marley Ann. This February, our family welcomed the newest addition…a sweet bundle of joy. Marley represents to our family a new life, a new beginning. Much like Clare House represents a new start for our residents. We are here to help provide the support, resources, and assistance for our residents to have a new life—a new beginning. |
